| Life of a UnicornHow unicorns are bornA bright little newborn baby unicorn is not hatched out of an egg, as most other fictitious animals are, but is instead, birthed just as human infants are, delivered to the outside world without a covering case and shell. Unicorns are very rare and special animals... all newborn baby unicorns are birthed from one of the same five unicorn mothers that every other member of their species come from. This select platoon of five unicorn mothers are called the "Materniali Unicorns." The Materniali Unicorns are five flawless members of the unicorn species, who reside in heaven's highest clouds-clouds that almost touch the upper crust of the earth's very atmosphere. Materniali are set apart from most unicorns in that they have giant wings, that able them to fly. When a baby unicorn is first born, it cannot yet be brought down to earth by its flying Materniali mother, for it would not be able to breath the super-thick air that exists near ground. Baby unicorns must live in the clouds with the Materniali and their brother and sister unicorns until they are at least five years old. How a Young Unicorn Reaches MaturityOnce a unicorn has been living and playing amongst the clouds for five years, the five Materniali arrange to take their rapidly maturing young down to earth. Several centuries ago, unicorns frequented visits to our planet on the fifth anniversary of their birth year-but lately, they have been reported to more frequently go to our doppleganger planet, The Centrabix Orbatron. The Centrabix Orbatron provides a much safer environment for rare species to grow and develop- and likewise provides adequate landscape-familiarity training for all unicorns who will one day make their way to earth. This is because the Centrabix Orbatron looks like an exact-replica-simulation of our own home planet. In ancient history, five year old unicorns were flown down to earth so that they could protect and help raise young orphan virgins. A unicorn's magic works best to protect only those who share its innocence and playfulness. Only the Materniali get on well with adult humans. A Unicorn's MagicIt has been speculated by many observers in the earliest eras of medieval history that it was mainly young princesses that owned unicorns as pets. One possible explanation for this observation is that, in our modern-day understanding of tales of the past, it was often princesses, in olden folklore, that were orphaned during siege, birth, or battle- and it was often they too that had monumental problems, obstacles in their life, or were otherwise in need of guidance. A unicorn has the divine majestic powers of protection and also of healing. It could run very fast when ridden on 'horseback' and create a protective shield that not only drove away, but also temporarily blinded it's enemies when under attack.
